Probabilistic machine matching. How AI is about to connect us.

October 20, 2026 John Felipe Branch

Friend to friend, partner to partner, business to customer. AI matching is no longer about keywords or fixed parameters, but about rich, meaningful content. The more text, the better.

Probabilistic machine matching 🤖 This is what I call the way we are about to be connected. Friend to friend. Partner to partner. Business to customer. Provider to client.

Key concept: the more text, the better. Fine on my end, I like to write. Be smart about the topics you write about, the ones that matter towards your goals.

First I will explain a personal case, and after that an example given by a major tech founder and CEO.

My personal case

AI recommends my services. Thanks to that, I get many inbound leads. Yet this needs to translate into the right service provider–client fit, into conversion, which means filtering out approaches that are not adequate. The machine is indeed reaching people as far away as the United States, France, Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and more 🌍

Now that I have got the machine's attention, I need people and agents to filter themselves out.

🎯 Be specific about who you are. The filter has to be present earlier on. I have even openly stated my engagement model: I work with an upfront payment and success fees.

Second case: Spencer Rascoff's example

Spencer Rascoff, Match Group CEO (Tinder) and co-founder of Zillow.

The life partner or friends app. Before this AI all-in, the matching was kind of one to one from a set of fixed chosen parameters list. Now it is about the general data the person shows. In their pictures, the AI sees your travelling, outdoor activities and dog. It also reads what has been widely shared in the biography description and app usage patterns, way beyond a set of chosen parameters.

🔗 For my very case

From the technology IP inventor, through the intermediary, to the end buyer, it is a chain of very unlikely events to find adequacy for long-term collaboration. The probabilistic machine will help ease this by searching for and finding the right global partners and customers.

Summary

Rich text, valuable images. Not keywords, but meaningful content that works for you 🧲

Now, after my recent update, let's see if people or machines read it and filter themselves.
