The optimistic case for renewable energy

March 24, 2026 John Felipe Branch

World debacle on the news. However, the fundamentals for clean energy have never been stronger.

World debacle on the news. It feels turbulent right now. Conflicts, supply chain shocks, energy price swings, it can be hard to see past this noise.

However, here is what I keep coming back to: the fundamentals for clean energy have never been stronger.

When the world fractures along trade routes and shipping lanes, distributed renewable energy becomes something more than climate policy, it becomes long-term resilience.

A few things that don't change regardless of what's happening geopolitically:

☀️ Reliable. The sun still shines. The wind still blows. No cargo ship required for its operation.

📉 Predictable and cost-effective. Unlike fossil fuels, renewable energy isn't priced by market speculators, conflict disruptions, or freight availability. You know what you're getting.

🔋 Resilient. Decentralized by design. The energy sources that are hardest to disrupt are the ones closest to where you need them, offering as well off-grid optionality or mini-grid decoupling.

Spain learnt from Europe’s energy crisis in 2022. For the GCC region in particular, this moment is a genuine inflection point. The renewable deployment targets are already ambitious and the geopolitical case for accelerating them is only growing stronger.

I am currently in active conversations with investors to target one of the fastest-growing energy markets in the world. If you would like to see our 10x growing market presentation or have a quick call, reach out directly. I would love to connect.

Enjoy the sun ☀️
